Derek has always had a passion for advocacy, which he carried with him through Law School. Derek participated in numerous mock trial competitions before representing clients in court, and he knows that standing up for a client's rights means being unwilling to compromise on the results they deserve. Derek is an avid Carolina Panthers and Charlotte FC fan. He enjoys shooting trap and skeet and spending time outdoors with his wife Yawei, and dog Patience.
